THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE #5

Moninghoff Motorsports is a small, family-run race team built by two people with a love for racing and a willingness to figure it out as we go. We have had outpouring support from family, friends, sponsors, and fellow racers and we cannot be more grateful for everyone. From turning wrenches and getting the #5 race-ready to sponsors, merch, social media, and everything in between if it needs to be done, chances are it is one of us is doing it.

DALE MONINGHOFF

The guy behind the wheel of the #5. Dale has wanted to race since he was a kid, spending Sundays watching NASCAR and dreaming about getting behind the wheel himself. Racing runs in the family too, with great-uncles who raced at Nazareth Speedway long before his time.

Now he's finally getting his chance. In his first season, the goal is simple: learn, get seat time, keep improving... and preferably bring the car home in one piece.

When he is not behind the wheel, he is usually working on the #5, figuring out what needs to be done next, if it is off season he can be found hunting, spending time with his family and dog Tucker, or at work.

With Dale behind the wheel, Lindsay is the one behind everything else. From finding and communicating with sponsors to running social media, designing merch, managing the website, taking photos and videos, and helping wherever she can on race day, she handles a little bit of everything behind the scenes.

What started as supporting Dale's dream has quickly turned into something they've built together. She may not be the one taking the green flag, but you'll usually find her somewhere close to the #5, helping get him strapped in, stressing from the stands, taking way too many pictures and videos or figuring out what needs to be done next.

When she is not working on something for Moninghoff Motorsports, she is usually spending time with their dog Tucker, reading a book, or scrolling TikTok.

IT TAKES A VILLAGE

Moninghoff Motorsports may officially be a a two-person operation, but we definitely don't do it completely alone. We're incredibly grateful for the family, friends, sponsors, fellow racers, and everyone who has jumped in to lend a hand, offer advice, turn a wrench, find a part, or simply cheer us on.

Grassroots racing takes a lot of work, a lot of late nights, and usually a few extra sets of hands. Every person who has helped us get the #5 on the track, supported us from the stands, shared a post, bought merch, or believed in what we're building has become a part of this journey.

The #5 may have our name on it, but there are a whole lot of people behind it. We appreciate every single one of you.
